Police seize more than $500K worth of cannabis from multiple addresses in one neighbourhood

Police in the industrial town of Scunthorpe, England seized £300,000 ($515,379) worth of cannabis from three addresses in less than a week, reports the Grimsby Telegraph .

“This means the organized crime gangs in our area are now less well off with your help, the only people that benefit are the dealers and the gangs behind this type of activity,” the police said in a statement.

“Without the help and support from the Community we cannot conduct these types of operations, please keep the information coming and we’ll continue to fight the gangs that exploit our communities.”

Earlier this year, police reported that drug gangs in the area of Scunthorpe and Grimsby could be posing as utility workers to illegally connect grow sites to the grid .
