More Americans think it would be good if people switched from alcohol to cannabis in a new poll.
In a YouGov survey, 27% of respondents agreed that they would prefer if people used more cannabis than alcohol. 20% said that a preference for cannabis would be bad. On the other hand, most respondents (38%) said it would be neither good nor bad, and 15% of respondents said they weren’t sure.
The February 28 poll included 10,412 Americans.
Democrats were more likely to say that making the switch to marijuana from alcohol would be good (34%), compared to 18% of Republicans and 27% of Independents.
