A U.K. landlord is “furious” after he claims police failed to take action on a rental property that was being used as a cannabis grow.
“The cannabis farm was first reported over four months ago, with a further eight reports,” the man said. “I gave it all to them on a plate, and they allowed this criminal gang to continue making vast amounts of money and writing off the property.”
The police, meanwhile, said while they sympathize with the property owner the evidence they received was insufficient for a warrant.
“Unfortunately, with the limited information that we had at the time there was insufficient intelligence to obtain a warrant to search this address,” a police spokesperson said.
In 2020, another U.K. landlord got an unexpected call from police when one of his vacant properties was found to be home to 146 cannabis plants.
