Speaking of the Gulf states, Zelenskyy must have marvelled that last September, by executive order, Trump granted to Qatar the equivalent of a NATO Article 5 guarantee: “The United States shall regard any armed attack on the territory, sovereignty, or critical infrastructure of the State of Qatar as a threat to the peace and security of the United States.”
