A 41-year-old man has been sentenced to death in Singapore after he was convicted of importing at least one kilogram of pot into the country in 2018.

Omar Yacob Bamadhaj was sentenced earlier this year, but his lawyer appealed, arguing that there was reasonable doubt as to whether Bamadhaj imported the drugs deliberately or not, reports Channel News Asia.
His appeal against conviction and sentence was dismissed by the Apex Court earlier this week.
