A new study published in Frontiers in Psychiatry has found that medicinal cannabis use may reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms in clinically anxious and depressed populations.

Researchers also found that the patients experienced therapeutic benefits from CBD in doses as low as 60 milligrams.
“The biggest misconception this study addresses is that CBD doses need to be between 400 to 600 mg before positive psychiatric effects can be achieved,” said Dr. Nicolas Schlienz, research director for Realm of Caring (RoC), the nonprofit that conducted the study.
