The Allman Brothers Band inks cannabis deal with Pharmacann

Southern rockers, the Allman Brothers Band, have launched a cannabis cultivar with the assistance of Chicago-based Pharmacann.

Formed in 1969, the Allman Brothers played their final show in 2014 to a sold-out audience at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

“It has been the honour of my life to play in this band and it continues to be an honour to extend our brand in ways my bandmates could never have imagined,” drummer Jai Johanny “Jaimoe” Johanson says in a statement. “This collaboration with Verilife is an opportunity to share the Allman Brothers Band experience with fans.”

Last year, Verilife inked baseball legend Ryne Sandberg to an endorsement deal.

Regarded as one of the greatest defensive infielders of all time, Sandberg, now in his 60s, told the Chicago Tribune that cannabis had become an “everyday thing” for him.
