The latest celebrity cannabis brand is Sublime

Sublime-branded cannabis products are expected to launch in California this summer, Forbes reports.

The Healing Plant, a licensed cannabis manufacturer, will produce and distribute the line across the state. Forbes reports that Sublime drummer Bud Gaugh kept it simple in a press release announcing the deal.

“Sublime has its own weed now,” Gaugh said. “I mean, what more needs to be said other than light ‘em up!”

Formed in Long Beach in 1988, Sublime rose to fame with a sound that spanned reggae, punk rock, folk, ska and hip-hop.

Lead singer Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose two months before the release of the band’s self-titled album. The album would go on to sell more than five million copies before the end of the decade.
