Toronto headquarters of armoured vehicle maker INKAS hit by gunfire

Police did not identify the target of the gunfire, but INKAS Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing confirmed it was the company that was shot at. “Earlier this morning, our Toronto headquarters was struck by gunfire in a serious incident that caused damage to the facility,” chief security officer Andy Ellis said in a statement Tuesday. No employees, visitors or members of the public were injured, he wrote, and the building remains operational. The company builds armoured transport vehicles, executive SUVs, luxury sedans, limousines and special purpose vehicles for banks, law enforcement agencies, corporate clients and individuals, according to its website.
