A tractor operator clearing brush in Texas snagged more than shrubs earlier this week.
A search of the area revealed three bundles of cannabis, weighing about 95 pounds (43 kilograms).
The day before, agents again responded to suspected smuggling activity near the Rio Grande in Brownsville.
They found three more bundles of weed, but no suspects. This time, the packages weighed a combined 75 pounds (34 kilograms).
In 48 hours, the agents recovered 216 pounds (98 kilograms) of cannabis, valued at approximately US$171,000 ($220,000).
The Rio Grande River is a popular area for smugglers. Earlier this year, agents recovered almost 200 pounds (91 kilograms) of cannabis by tracing footprints along the river banks, which eventually led to the discovery of the haul valued at US$135,000 ($163,000).
