Illegal cannabis grows have been “guarded” by all manner of animals, ranging from creepy-crawlies like snakes and spiders to catfish, but perhaps never as adorably as by two young fawns.
Medicinal and recreational cannabis is legal in Oregon. Those wanting to grow cannabis in the state, though, must be licensed.
A producer licence, which requires an application to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, allows one to grow and cultivate marijuana before the cured and finished flower can be sold to a retailer or a processor, according to Gleam Law.
It is believed the Oregon farm was unlicensed.
After the discovery, members of the Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team (JMET) seized and destroyed the plants and processed weed.
