University of Regina gets boost from U.S. company for its NFL-backed cannabis research

Earlier this week it was announced that researchers from the University of Regina will be receiving US$500,000 ($638,000) from the National Football League to fund a cannabis study focused on pain management and reducing the use of prescription medications in post-concussion syndrome athletes.

The research team is also receiving a boost from a U.S.-based business-to-business company. My Next Health Inc. is contributing another US$400,000 ($509,910) of in-kind support for the medical research team and will be providing the cannabinoid formulations used in the study.
