The Maryland House is getting serious about legalizing recreational cannabis. A House committee approved two bills to put the referendum on the November ballot for Maryland voters to get their say.
HB 1 – This bill will ask Marylanders to okay an amendment to the state’s constitution to legalize marijuana for adult users (21+).
HB 837 – The bill would set guidelines for adult use. It will legalize the purchase and possesions of up to 2.5oz. It will also erase previous possession convictions.
