Luge and bobsled tracks at the Winter Olympics, the opening ceremony for which took place on Feb. 4, were built using hemp supplied by Greenfield Technologies. The Calgary-based company sent more than 27,000 kilograms of its hemp fibres product to be used “in place of plastic fibres as a concrete strengthener,” Hemp Industry Daily reported earlier in February.
