Oregon home to the most affordable cannabis in the U.S.

An ounce of high-quality cannabis in Oregon will cost consumers about US$210, according to a report from The Business Journals.

Relying on data from Price of Weed, which dubs itself as a global price index for marijuana, the report highlights that an ounce from Oregon is about 10 ten per cent cheaper than the second lowest price, which is $234, found in the neighbouring state of Washington.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, other mature cannabis markets round out the top of the list, including Colorado, where a high-quality oz will run about $242, and California, which trails a few dollars behind at $249.

Montana, a relative newcomer to the cannabis industry, the state legalized recreational cannabis last year, comes in fifth cheapest at $266.
