Police responding to an unrelated call located 945 cannabis edibles hidden in a man’s closet in the U.K.
Police estimate the edibles to be worth about £7,087 (just under $10,000).
The man had reportedly come into possession of the haul after another individual had been unsuccessful in trying to sell the goods.
“There was the expectation of significant financial gain,” the court heard. The man, who is currently on a community order after a previous non-drug-related matter, was handed a nine-month suspended sentence and ordered to complete a 36-day rehabilitation program.
“You had better stay out of trouble,” the judge reportedly told the court. “If you have anything more to do with drugs, you will go straight inside. If you deal drugs, you are going to go to prison for three years.”
